As Insurelab Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage Inc. (Insurelab), we exercise the utmost care regarding the security of your personal data. With this awareness, as Insurelab, we attach great importance to processing and safeguarding all kinds of personal data belonging to all persons associated with Insurelab — including those who benefit from our products and services — in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ('KVK Law'), approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. With a full understanding of this responsibility, we process your personal data as explained below and within the limits set forth by the legislation.
Collection, Processing, and Purposes of Processing of Personal Data
Although your personal data may vary depending on the service, product, or commercial activity provided by Insurelab, it may be collected verbally, in writing, or electronically through automated or non-automated methods via offices, the website, social media channels, mobile applications, and similar means. As long as you benefit from Insurelab's products and services, your personal data may be created, updated, and processed. In addition, your personal data may be processed when you use our website with the intention of using Insurelab's services and when you visit our website. Your collected personal data will be processed within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law, for the purposes of: carrying out the necessary work by our relevant units to enable you to benefit from the products and services offered by Insurelab; recommending the products and services offered by Insurelab to you by customizing them according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of Insurelab and of the persons in a business relationship with Insurelab; determining and implementing Insurelab's commercial and business strategies; and ensuring the execution of Insurelab's human resources policies.
To Whom and for What Purpose Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred
Your collected personal data may be transferred to our business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions, and private persons, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVK Law, for the purposes of: carrying out the necessary work by our units to enable you to benefit from the products and services offered by Insurelab; recommending the products and services offered by Insurelab to you by customizing them according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of Insurelab and of the persons in a business relationship with Insurelab; determining and implementing Insurelab's commercial and business strategies; and ensuring the execution of Insurelab's human resources policies.
Method and Legal Basis of Personal Data Collection
Your personal data is obtained in any verbal, written, or electronic environment for the purpose of enabling the products and services offered by Insurelab to be provided within the defined legal framework in line with the purposes stated above, and, in this context, enabling Insurelab to fully and accurately fulfill its obligations arising from contracts and the law. The personal data collected for this legal reason may also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in items (1) and (2) of this notice, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law.
Rights of the Personal Data Owner Listed in Article 11 of the KVK Law
As personal data owners, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to Insurelab through the methods set out below, Insurelab will conclude the request free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the process requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board will be charged by Insurelab.
In this context, personal data owners have the right to:
1. To learn whether their personal data is being processed,
2. To request information about it if their personal data has been processed,
3. To learn the purpose for which their personal data is processed and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,
4. To know the third parties, domestic or foreign, to whom their personal data is transferred,
5. To request the correction of personal data that has been processed incompletely or inaccurately, and to request that this correction be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
6. Even though the personal data has been processed in compliance with Law No. 6698 and other relevant legislation, to request the deletion or destruction of the personal data if the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist, and to request that this action be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred; to object to any outcome to the detriment of the individual arising from the analysis of the processed data solely through automated systems; and to claim compensation for damages incurred due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
If You Would Like to Contact Us Regarding Your Rights and Requests
In accordance with your legal rights foreseen under the relevant law and other legislation, you may deliver your requests, via the KVKK Application Form petition, in person to our address at Yüzbaşı Kaya Aldoğan Sokak, Pardus Plaza No:4, Interior Door No:4, Şişli, İstanbul, or send them by registered and reply-paid letter through the mail or via a notary. In addition, in accordance with Article 5 of the 'Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller,' you may submit them to
[email protected] using a registered electronic mail (KEP) address, secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or an email address that you have previously notified to our Company and that is registered in our systems.
